Meeting New Friends and Family!!!!

December 9th was a busy day for Abbey!  We drove to Winnipeg for her first checkup!  What a crazy time that was!  Dr. Reynold's had a resident who was assessing the patients, and the resident had a med student.  So Abbey was checked out essentially 3 times!  She didn't mind most of it!  Although the reflex test wasn't her favorite, thankfully they only did it twice not three times!  I'm sure the Resident knew a lot about medicine and babies, but he didn't know how to do up a diaper, and he made it so loose that it would have fallen off Abbey if we picked her up!  With her appointment out of the way we let the visiting commence!

Romy and Abbey
First we went to Portage Place, where we met up with this pretty lady!  Romy and I couldn't be more different!  Romy has beautiful, long dark hair, and I have barely visible, blonde super short hair!  It will grow I hope!

Next up we went to Grandma and Grandpa's but they were away, visiting my cousins, Greg, Alina, Spencer, and Janelle, and Jared!  However, Great Grandma was home and so was Great Uncle Herb, who just loved me!  He had such a wonderful smile on his face when he was holding me!

You would think with all of this visiting that our day would be over, but it wasn't by a long shot!  Next up we headed to my mommy's cousin Tom's house, to meet Tom, his wife Verna, and their daughter Leanne!  I couldn't meet Brad because he had to go to work!  Next time maybe he'll be home!

This is Leanne, she is a photographer!  She is super good!  She did a photo shoot with me, even though I was super cranky and was crying and having little fits!

This is Tom!  He was 16 when mommy was born!

People can't help but enjoy me!  I'm a cutie!

This is Tom's wife, Verna!  She thought I was pretty sweet!  She bought me a pretty dress, and nylons witha  frilly butt on them and another cute outfit!

Grandma, Mom and Dad enjoyed pizza with the Farough family!  Then Leanne did her mini-photo shoot with me!  I cried a lot but Leanne was pretty patient, and persistant, and the results are incredible!  I'll have my mom make a post with those pictures too!

After the photo shoot, we left and drove home to Ashern!  It was such a long day, that I slept pretty well!

My Blessing Day

On December 4, 2011, I was blessed at Church!  I was very good and didn't cry!  I was given a lovely blessing by Daddy, with Grandpa Northcott and President Beaumont!

After Church we decided to take photos, since everyone was all dressed up!

Grandma Northcott, had saved Aunt Jacquie's blessing dress for her, and so she let me borrow it!  I'm going to have to get better pictures with it!  Daddy bumped me just before we started taking pictures, and it really upset me, so I cried through all of these photos!  The dress is really pretty though!

Weekly Updates!

A friend who works with Mommy and Daddy, mentioned that with their daughter they took weekly photos in the same location so they could measure her growth!  So while we were out shopping one day, I bought birthday candles, that we could put in the photo with Abbey!

My First Sunday at Church

I went to Church on Sunday November 27th for the first time!  I got a lot of firsts that day!

My first trip to Dauphin, of many!  My first time meeting Grandma Hill!  My first time in Church!

Grandma and Grandpa Northcott's House

November 25th, I broke out of the hospital with mom, and we made a run for Grandma and Grandpa's house!  My aunt and uncles came over to meet me!  I have a picture with everyone but Great Grandma for some reason!

The Snowsuit

One of my Mommy and Daddy's favorite books to read to me right now is Thomas' Snowsuit, by Robert Munch!  They laugh and laugh.  I don't not like my snowsuit, it just doesn't fit.  Mommy thought that she'd be smart, and we bought one for 0-3 months which should have taken care of November, December and January, and then a 3-6 month which would finish out the winter.  However, my snowsuit is like when Goldlocks tried Papa Bears stuff, "TOO BIG"!  However this was the only thing they had brought to take me home from the hospital in, so here are some pictures to make you laugh!
This photo looks just fine, and you'd never be able to tell that anything was wrong!
This photo doesn't look so bad either!
However, once you unzip me, you find that I take up maybe half of the snowsuit!
This was what Mommy and Daddy had to take me home in, so they found a way to make it work for today!  Hopefully I grow into this snowsuit soon, because it is really cute, and even has ears and a tail!

Our Lives Have Been Forever Changed

Introducing Abbey Lynne Northcott
Born November 22, 2011
(This means I have a cool birthday 11/22/11)
Not as cool as Keirwyn's 09/09/09 but still pretty cool!
A lot of people say I look like the Northcott Family.  Some people say I look like my mom!  I definitely got her nose! However Grandma Hill says I look just like me!

My Daddy loves me so much!

My Mommy thinks I'm pretty amazing!
