Thanksgiving

As is the custom, we spent the Sunday of Thanksgiving at my cousin Barb's house!  A wonderful time was had by all!

Mrs. Knight, Joyce, and Aunt Lois

Uncle Bob, Barb & Mrs. Knight

Raymond

Raymond and I played Crib with Uncle Bob, however we got skunked the first game I believe, then we played just Raymond and I, and I won, by one point! It is good to peg!!!!!!!

Supper was lovely, and we enjoyed visiting with Barb, Cynthia, and Robert (Rose was in Washington, she mistakenly thought Thanksgiving was the next weekend!) Ed, Joyce, and all four boys, Albert, Isaac, Samuel and Theodore, Uncle Bob, and Aunt Lois, Sheldon, and Mrs. Knight! It was a lovely Thanksgiving! The only missing person was my mom and she was sick! She missed out!

Dauphin Branch Activity

Friday September 30, 2011 a few members of the Dauphin Branch got together at Steadfast Ranch for a horse ride/ hay wagon ride/ bonfire supper!   We had a lot of fun, and will definitely be doing it again as per President and Sister Beaumont's request, since they were in Salt Lake City for General Conference!

Some of the Hay wagon riders!  Linda Fox, Bev Watson, Sully Fox, Raymond Northcott, Charlee Fox, Ang Fox, RJ O'Sullivan, and Porter Fox

Jay hooked up Brother Staheli's hay wagon to the tractor and off we went through the pasture, past the ridge and around and back!

At one point, Jay and Ron had to jump off their perches, and remove some fallen trees from our path.

Porter sitting on the hay wagon patiently!

My husband, not sure if he was having a really good time, or was just putting on an act for the camera, or somewhere inbetween!  Needless to say he's mine and I love him dearly!

At first the cows were scared of us and our noisy crew and ran off, however this didn't last long and then they began to follow us.  This began to creep out the girl's a little bit.

I couldn't quite figure out why.  Both girls are from farms, both have spent their entire lives around cattle, so why were they acting so scared of the cows, (okay so I'll admit, Emma doesn't look to scared in this photo, but she was!)  Then I took a closer look at the cows, and suddenly it all became much clearer to me!!!!

Their eyes were glowing, these must be the scary, devil cows I hear about every now and again!

After awhile the crazy cows, got tired of chasing us around, and they left and we returned back to Steadfast Ranch for a lovely bonfire!

It was much darker and I was amazed how the flash brightened this picture up!  Here are Raymond, Jean and Emma sitting around the bonfire!

We didn't get to go with the horseback riders on their ride, but it was fun.
As it was we had a pretty good turnout!

There was Gail Haggarty, and Jean McCurry, Ben and Linda, their 3 kids, Emma, Sully, and Ben, Bev and Ron Watson, TJ and Becky O'Sullivan and Clay and RJ, Kelly Millward and his three children Josie, Ryder and Cooper, Jay and Ang and their 4 children, Devin, Charlee, Porter and Major and Raymond and I.

A great time was had by all!

Summer Family Supper

This summer when Jacquie, Wes and Jared came to visit from Calgary, they were able to take some time, and come and see us up in Ashern, and our new house, and bring a lot of the family with them for a family BBQ.  It was wonderful having everyone here!  Here are a few pictures of the event!
