Stay At Home Mom Day 1

Well today has been...  so many emotions, etc all rolled into one!  For the first, oh I don't know, 1 1/2 I was wallowing in self-pity.  I was like a lost puppy dog.  Perhaps I should explain!  Today is the first day of my maternity leave.  I feel quite like I did yesterday and the day before that and the day before that. I feel FINE!  Yet I had to start maternity leave sometime.  So here I am starting maternity leave.  Baby is still being looked after inside me!  I'm doing good at that!  I have a bit of stuff still to do for the school, but my evil twin is helping me procrastinate!  Everyone is telling me to enjoy it and to sleep!  And honestly I was quite bored.  Then I sat down to pay and transfer money, then I marked a bit, then I had lunch and watched a super awesome movie called Gifted Hands: The Ben Carson story! It was fabulous, and very inspiring!  I marked some more, and now I'm debating cooking versus marking.  I don't really want to put of marking too long, in case Jabbey puts in an appearence, however...  I just don't want to finish up the last three assignments I have to do!  :)  Sigh...  Jabbey, are you coming soon??? Or should I just call and ask to go back to work....

A lovely Friday evening Bonfire

Tinfoil dinners were on the menu on Friday!

So the only thing I didn't get a picture off was the finished product!!!!!!! Oh well perhaps next time!  It was delicious though, and we've decided the perfect cook time is 15 minutes on each side!

Halloween Pumpkin

Last year, I carved a pumpkin using tracers for the first time, I carved four images into my pumpkin, I had Mickey, and Goofy, Tigger, and something else, not sure where last years pictures are.  This year I decided that I would do something more Halloweenish!  So I went online and found some cool patterns, and chose to do two!

So I diligently cut out all of the grey parts, and then traced what I had left with a black marker!
Then I began to carve!  I love my neon green tools!

The Baby Shower

Beth had a baby shower for me, this is the front of the invite!  Very Cute!
Inside it said,
"One small request that won't be too hard
Please bring a book instead of a card.
Whether Cat in the hat or Winnie the Pooh
You can sign the inside cover with a note from you.
Baby will become very smart, if my advice you do heed
If we begin early, he/she'll soon love to read.

So we had the shower on October 27th!
It was a lot of fun!
There were about 11 of us, including my dear husband, who didn't hide in the basement, but stuck it out with all of us ladies!

Beth had a few surprises up her sleeve,  one of them being our friend Kristin from Winnipeg!  Yeah!  What fun!

There was Krista, Beth, Kristin, Shannon, Paula, Mom, Janice, Leah, Darlene, Raymond and I!

We played ABCs of Baby, and Whose Traits do I Want the Baby to Have, we had a Baby Bottle Chug, and played Baby Bingo!!!!

Here are some pics from the party!
